Happy Valentine’s to my Friends

Visions of Valentines and Love

Visions of Valentines and Love

Inspired by Viv and her poem about love, I decided to share this photo with you. It’s in keeping with the theme everywhere this week as we lead up to February 14th. Not everyone appreciates or celebrates the day, but I hope you enjoy the photo.

We saw this wall display in a mask maker’s shop in Florence. It was too big and delicate to bring home, so I brought back this photo instead. Captured through glass to his window display. December, 2006.

  1. The poem was George Herbert’s Love Bade me Welcome, a poem I have loved for a long time.
This is a lovely picture, thank you Bonny!

  2. And a Happy Valentine’s to you, Bonny! – how unusual, its almost a twist on the tragedy/comedy masks of the theatre.

  3. What a nice gesture, Bonny!
And what an original heart you share with us, never saw something like that!
But I don’t wonder: never saw such a heart like your either! 🙂
