  4. Hi Viv, nice to see you!
I adore candles too! Can’t wait to go back to Ikea to get some new in 2 weeks!
The oranges… some friends came to us 2 weeks ago, they have orange trees plantation in the family and brought us about 50 kilos of their oranges. Really I never ate before such tasteful and juiceful oranges! We wished we could share them with you all here, as 50 kilos is anyway a little bit much for us…

  6. That’s a funny thing as I wrote the first of the meditations for the book(for the proposal in fact) and it was Orange, and the guided meditation went to an orange grove. It was so vivid in my mind as I wrote it, it made me wonder if I were describing a real place.
My husband is utterly addicted to oranges; we sit watching tv or a film and he will eat his way through 4/6 oranges the way most people munch through Pringles.
We spent all morning and some of the early afternon in the garden, trying to construct a line of guttering around the shed to catch rainwater and feed it into our rain barrels. Successful but bitterly cold. We’ve had the guttering for more than six months; originally Martin(Ellie’s now ex) was going to do it with Nigel but it never happened. So we just thought, no rain today, let’s just do it. I’m also planning and scheming for the coming garden season, what i want to plant, what I want to sow and what to change and what to keep, so it was quite good to be out there looking at it all and considering things. I’ve been overdosed with gardens, the last two we had were enormous, one over an acre of land, and it got too much for me. Now I have a small plot, I feel maybe I can get back into my green souled self.

  8. I think I read about a spell that can be conjured much like this evocative picture illustrates (just kidding about having read about a spell; I made that part up.)

But indeed it surely must have cast a spell. Did it not?
