Café Crem

Art, Music and Words around The Coffee Table

Cozy coffee art for cold, cold days

It’s not just the gray sky, the forecast of freezing rain. People are worried this season, chilled by a steady diet of bad news. So here’s a gentle reminder to notice the hundred small pleasures  that punctuate your day: your favorite song on the radio, a smile from a stranger, a laughing baby… a friendly cat, a hot cup of coffee.

Peace,

Val

  1. Yay! A cat who likes coffee! This is lovely, Val. Does anyone know if cats sneak sips of coffee? My son used to, until I stopped putting sugar in it 🙂

  2. I love the simplicity of this painting!!
The cat’s expression is ‘appreciative’, so maybe this cat lies sips of coffee 😉 Smart cat!!!

  3. This is a beautiful painting, Val, and in fact it really has this gentle effect on me. I am just having my first hot cup of coffee of the day, I hear a cat outside, and the sun is shining on our mountains behind the window… yes, despite bad news and worries, life is wonderful and one should never forget it and always be thankful to be here and with people we love…
    Thank so much…

Guten morgen, Bonny, alles klar? Wie ist Dein Kaffee heute? Oder trinkst Du Tee?

    Good morning Shelley!

  4. Lovely Val! And its aways nice to remind ourselves that these tiny pleasures are the stitches that bind together our glorious frock of life! (I don’t think that’s a real quote-I just made it up..)

  5. Great painting Val. I truly believe in the irony of human nature whereby people tend to believe in what the media is saying is true and then acting as if ones own personal life is also affected. At the end of the day it is everything and more of what you say that matters. I truly believe in family, friends and people in need for it is there we can make a difference. And if you tried, then BEGIN AGAIN.
