Art, Music and Words around The Coffee Table

Who’s on first?

I am in a nostalgic mood and found the one thing from my childhood that is the one true thing that ever made me laugh with my father and still tonight with my son. There’s much to art that is timeless don’t you think?

  1. Ah, Abbott and Costello! I don’t think they ever quite had the influenece across the pond as Laurel and Hardy (after all, Stan Laurel was born in Ulverston, in the English lake district.) – but your point about a timeless humour struck a chord with me. I was watching a re-run many years ago of the classic Laurel and Hardy sketch “The Piano” where they pose as two delivery men trying to get an Upright up an unending series of flights of steps. my daughter, who was about 6 at the time, adored it, and has loved them ever since!

  2. Good morning Canada!
    Canada still nostalgic? Still laughing?
Missing your questions here, and your little drawings, making us think about something!
    Have a nice day, Michael!

  3. Wow, this brings back memories. I think I had some of their skits on cassette tape growing up.
