  1. Sweet doodles! Well done! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

  2. Very nice! I like the heavier line outline. Did you use a brush and water colour, or a brush pen?
I really admire you for getting out there in public to draw!

  3. Danu, I dont know about lynching the artist, rather, that they should carry you shoulder high in celebration of your uncanny ability to capture their spirits in the blink of an eye, over a coffee. I love this stuff Danu.

  4. Such great sketches, Danu! I am really amazed, and full of admiration!. And thanks so much to post it here, I love to see our art in Cafe Crem, it´s for me as if the paintings were exhibited on the walls of a real Café. I just love this kind of sketching, they are so full of live, and in fact they kind of represent an instant of that Cafe´s life…
I hope we will see more of them, Danu, it is a great contribution to this blog, I am sure everybody here thinks the same!
I simply love the faces and bodies expressions of the people there…

  5. Thanks, everybody!
I usually use a pen (how do you say “plume” in English, miki?) and acrylic ink to draw and then watercolor, Bonny.
Kev, they would have a big, big problem, carrying me on their shoulders! Even 4 to 6 heavy built policemen would have done it with enourmous difficulties…but thanks. Glad you liked the sketches, miki (and jonsquared). Not all of them are as good – but, yes, of course, I will show you others, in time…

  6. Bravo Danu! These are really brilliant. In each one you’ve captured a particular character with such astuteness. In the first one I particularly love the guy looking down at the paper. In the second I’m fascinated with the low-rider jeans and high heals. And in the third, wow, she’s one crisp sophisticate. You know in California you can’t smoke in any restaurants or public buildings.

  7. Amazing! I think I like the first one best because it captures the movement, the life of the place.

  8. I love these, Danu! Wonderful how you have captured the lively spirit of the place and people.

  9. Thanks, Susan! Right now smoking is also forbiden practically everywhere…But when I draw these it was still allowed…

Thanks, psychscribe and Shelly! You all indulge me too much… Even if, here and there, I also think I have a small draftsman talent… I wish I could do it daily, more often than I do it right now…
