Could YOU abandon this baby?

Gipsy

Well, here she is, Gypsy, the latest (perhaps) addition to our family… will she really become my first daughter, or not? I have about 10 days to decide… Kevin is useless here, as his heart has already turned to jelly!

So guys, what do YOU think?

  1. I think you’ve got a new baby. Not as pretty as Mango, but then no dog is.

Still, those are some lovely looking eyes.

  3. P.S. By the way, there’s another possible future topic – pets!

  5. I LOVE dogs, so for me this is a foregone conclusion! Definitely you have a new daughter!

Get her checked by a vetrinarian, make sure she is healthy and has all her shots etc. It will give you peace of mind to know everything is okay.

Gypsy is adorable! She would be a great companion for the times when Kevin is out on the road doing a gig.

  6. I love dogs too! And there were times in my life where I had one, and other times, especially the last years before I met Kevin, where I was thinking to get one, but doubting I could take care of a dog as they deserve it…
Concerning Gypsy, I guess we have no chance to say no… even if I am trying to stay cool and a little bit distanced from her, I exactly know that she has reached my heart, with her lovely eyes, her little body with the graceful paws, her tiny tongue incessantly trying to lick my hand…
Bonny, you are right, I think we will go next week to uncle doctor with her and check… we would like to know too how old she is… we guess, right now, about one year old…

  7. I think I arrived on this particular scene a little late to offer an opinion about whether you should “keep” this dear creature who has already “possessed” you. Do you know that for years I did pet portrait commissions, mostly dogs, and I would have to agree you have a particularly soulful Gypsy girl here. The companion idea for Miki is a sound one I think. Would Contessine or someone else be willing to sign on for Gypsy care if Miki wanted to get on a plane and travel. . . to Tahiti or maybe to CAlifornia to see me! Around here we have pet care people you can hire. Is that found in Spain?

  8. Awww Miki!!! Gypsy is such a lovely doggy!! Her eyes, so sweet!! I love dogs, and I’ve always wanted to have one, but no one would ever let me!!
Gypsy makes me remember of my best friend’s dog, 10 years ago… my friend and I used to play with the dog a lot!! We loved her so much!

Miki, I know you’ll be a great mom for Gypsy, and that you both have lots of love for each other!!

    Un abrazo grande!!

  9. Oh Mary, I am so happy to see you here again, I always miss you a lot when you are not around, here or at your place…
But… I am very very sad today… we have thought a lot with Kevin, and our style life doesn´t allow us to keep Gypsy… at the end it would have been bad for her… it has been a terrible decision, and I am still full of tears. But at least we have managed to find a good adoptive mother for her, she came this morning and we gave her Gypsy, with her little bed, her little bowl, her little cookies…
Kevin never had a pet in his life either, like
you, it was very new for him, and he is very sad too right now…
But at least we have helped her a lot in these 10 days, we have given her much much love and fun, who knows what would have happent to her in the street in that time?!!!
    1000 besos, pajarito!!

  10. Oh Miki… I’m sorry to hear that.. but if you were able to find a good mom for her I guess it’s alright..
You know, my bro and I feed a street dog that lives in the neighbourhood… I love this dog so much ’cause he takes care of us a lot!! Whenever I go he comes with me.. My dad also likes the little dog, and if it were up to him, we could’ve adopted the dog( whom I named Blacky)… but mom is there always saying NO! 😦

Oh Miki!! I don’t know what’s going on with me! I can’t write! I’ve got many drafts both in my mind and in my pc but I am not able to finish them… hope to finish them soon and post them.

I’ve missed you too Miki!!! And I’m always happy to read your words!

  11. Miki, after all the encouragement you recived on this topic, I think it was very brave of you and Kevin to decide to give her to a stable home. That’s what a real mom does…she puts her little ones needs before her own…for the good of the child…. How difficult and unselfish this was of you! My heart goes out to you for your loss.
