Café Crem

Art, Music and Words around The Coffee Table

It’s a Family Affair

I guess all of you are aware now, that on the 1st and 15th of each month a new topic is introduced in Cafe Crem. Each author here and indeed all visitors are invited to participate with one or more entries about the theme, like always with words, paintings, films, music, etc…. Please remember that any coffee cup entry, about the theme or not, will be warmly welcomed!

The new theme proposed by Psychscribe and starting 1st of January, will be

“Parents & Children”

Please feel free to join in!

  1. Hi Psychscribe!
I have tried to send you a mail, but it keeps coming back undelivered.
We will all be pleased to see you post the first entry about this theme on the 1st of January 2008.

  2. Hi Miki!

Great topic to begin the themes!

May I make a suggestion, if it hasn’t been considered before?

Could we have a category in the side bar with an ongoing list of all the challenge themes? Every 2 weeks when the new theme is posted, it could/should be added to the list. that way, if some person missed a thee because they were away or busy, they can always go back to do that one at any time..

It’s also a good way to keep track of ideas we’ve already had as a theme so we don’t repeat it.

    Happy NewYear Everybody!

  3. Hi Miki, I can’t understand why that email isn’t working, but yes, I’m prepared to post my first one on Jan1. I’m very excited about this :). I will also be so glad to see our artists express themselves about this theme in whatever modality inspires them.

  4. Great topic. Large. Highly relevant for me right now. I’ll have to work the chickens in somehow. They are, after all my children. And I could use some advice about now, for how to survive parenting of teens.

  5. Hi Bonny!
Very good proposition. I had thought the same for the CCCC competition and this is why I added the widget “Categories” on the sidebar. We did the same with the first theme “Festival of the Sacrifice” too.
I wanted now to separate the themes from the normal categories, and have created a new category called “The Cafe Crem Themes”, but I have no idea how to delete from it the normal categories. Does somebody know?
By the way, Bonny, would you like to post a photo from you, so that I can add it to the authors slide show in the “Authors” page? I dont know if you saw it, but we all posted a photo around Christmas, it was nice! But of course, if you dont want, dont do it! Its just so nice to be all togther there…

  6. The good thing here, Susan, is that everybody here seems to have children in different ages, so you will surely be able to help each other!

  7. Miki,

Go to your admin page, then go to Manage, then to Categories. You’ll see a list of all the categories you’ve made. Next, there is a place where you can check “delete,” then hit “Enter.” That will take care of it.
