Art, Music and Words around The Coffee Table

A Cup of Grace for the Holiday Season – CCCCC Competition

Borrowed from the artist Willimam John Wainwright

This comes from the ARC online virtual art gallery – a wonderful visual feast and resource for artists as well as those of us who rely on painting with words. Enjoy!

  1. Happy to see your first entry, Psychscribe, you have indeed chosen a beautiful painting for it.And the cup is gorgeous. And with 2 handles. Yolanda will love it!
1 first point for you! Take it fast before Kevin steals it, like he did with Yolanda´one…

  2. Nice to see your entry, Psych, it reminds me of two things; the likeness to the actress Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio who played Maid Marian in Robin Hood, and the wording, which reminds me of “Gaudete” a beautiful madrigal which was a Christmas hit for Steeleye Span some years ago.

  3. I surely love the double handed cup, fine cup it is. Very classical sunbject, love it. Did she miss the hair conditioner?

  4. Nice to see something that brings to mind the days of my childhood where I was one of the Knights of The Round Table and this woman such a fair maiden.

  5. Very funny Yolanda! But I’m not sure she missed the air conditioner… ask Kevin… he puts liters of it on his hair everyday and he still looks like the young lady on the painting… I mean as young and as beautiful of course…

  6. A lovely piece.

I know what she is thinking.

“Damn this cup is heavy. I wish I had used the plastic ware and not filled it so full. Why can’t he paint faster? My arms are killing me.”
