Public amuser stuff…
Yesterday I was a portraitist-caricaturiste (how do you say this in English, Kev? anibody?) at a Familifête (another hard one… help me MIKI!) in the Mont-Bellevue district, where I live, in Sherbrooke, Québec…
I show you some portraits I made (you can see more at http://ivdanu.wordpress.com/)

I show you also the model, so you don’t think I was mean…I’m not mean!

Finally, that’s me, looking severe – but you really have to be like that if you want the little criters off your back!

Fires everywhere!
Oh, boy, oh, boy!
Not only Miki & Kevin had emotions & + in Turre, but 2 big fires in a week or so in my town, too…

And I was there, for one, at least, to photograph and to film…

Glad, very glad to be back, my friends, even if with this kind of news…
In fact, there are others, but I will tell you later…
Have a good day, everybody!

A don Quixotte and don Sancho Panza…
Just to tell you I’m still kicking…not the bucket…And that I’m still painting…
Have a nice evening, night, morning and day, everybody!

Decent proposal
Since I’m not Robert Redford (I wish!) and you are not Demi Moore (a cousin of yours, Kev?) I cannot make you an Indecent Proposal…
So I make you (as an atonement for my long absence from CC) a relatively DECENT one: let’s share… I mean, coffee information. Personally, I feel I still have SO MUCH to learn about it: what`s the best sort? How to keep it so that it doesn’t loose the aroma, the perfume?? can you “cook” it yourself? How? and all the other thousands tricks to better enjoy coffee, even in a modest cup? I hope you’ll like – and accept – my proposal…
(I post with it one of my recent “non-figurative” paintings (I don`t know what else I can do with it! ha,ha! and I also invite you to visit my new blog solely dedicated to Portraits – it`s in French but the important things are the images, not the text… the address is: http://idanu.wordpress.com/)
Where I live, where I work…
Since what we are means also where we live and where we work, there it is: a sketch landscape of Sherbrooke (Jacques Cartier park, with the so called Lac des Nations, right in the middle of the city, so called `cité des rivières`… where I spend a lot of time, usually, in summertime)
… and a view from the park of the private catholic institution where I teach acrylics and watercolor:
Just two sketches in watercolor, having some documentary value… Since I was painting, I couldn`t be in the chair… one of my prefered spots… In all, not a bad place to live (in summertime, especially…)

What I was doing lately…
Well, here is one of the things I was doing lately… Mind you, it’s just a still-to-be-perfected prototype…
But since it’s Christmas (or Holidays) related and since I was absent a while, I thought maybe it will be appropiate…Maybe even good enough to enter as a CCCC? Nothing to be compared with Miki’s post, of course…and I still drink coffee…plus cocoa… danu
I’m a thief! God’s wrath!
Maybe, apart from CCC, we should create a new club: The Coffeee Cup Thiefs Club! Because, folks, I’m a thief myself now and joined the (bad?) example of Kevin… You can see that the object of my mischief was a dark blue with gold coffee cup, with a large handle, very comfortable to hold… I saw it last Saturday laying alone and sad on a shelf of the backroom where we have our Dessin d’après modèle vivant sessions, at the University… It was so beutiful and so sad (and lonely – probably somebody forgot it, even if I’m not sure how she or he could do that...) that I couldn’t resist, old maggpie that I am… Probably I wouldn’t if it wasn’t for the recent example of Kevin, getting some more adrenaline fix in some Starbuck. But his example just pushed the balance the way of the wrongdoing… and I thought I will get away with it!
No, nobody saw me and no, I wasn’t dishonered for life and put into irons and such… But God’s wrath manifested itself no less…
I was happily preparing myself a Vienese coffee (2 teaspoonfull of fine grinded coffee + 1 teaspoon of fine grinded coacoa) and just pouring the hot water in my Zepter ibric (I don’t know the term in English: the thing in which you prepare your coffee…) when God intervened and look what I did to my pijamas! (looks like an abstract painting but it did hurt a bit being hot-hot!)
So now I’m in a kind of a dilema: should we make the coffee club thief club? Or should we confess our sins and get back the beautiful object of our desires?
