Art is Cool!
As many of you know, Miki has been exhibiting at the Centro de Arte in Mojacar village here in Almeria, Spain.
We noticed, as we were preparing the inauguration, that we had more stress trying to keep the Cava and other drinks cool, than we did hanging the paintings! Money as a bit tight for the arts down here, and therefore the facilities are somewhat spartan, so we decided to donate…..a fridge!
This will be of incalculable value for future artists exhibiting here. They can relax, knowing the drinks will be chilled to perfection, and their welcoming quiche won’t be wilting. But we didn’t want it to be any old fridge – so, keen to prove that Miki’s not the only artist in the house, I went to work with some masking tape, cardboard, scissors and a can of spray paint, and voila! A work of art! (Of course I needed Miki perched on top to finish the effect, the cherry on the cake, so to speak!)

Very cool design with a lovely model on top. Hope you sell out.
I’ve heard it said Bill, that flash cars look better when an attractive lady is draped over them – so I’m hoping I can persuade Miki to buy a Ferrari to pose on next time.
Kev, you share a dream with Rob: he too would love to own – heck! even just to drive! – a Ferrari!!! (What IS it with men and fancy cars, anyway??? No-one has ever explained this to me…)
Miki, I hope you sell all your gorgeous art!! Congratulations on getting the show together (complete with an awesome fridge)!
Awesome miki!!!
Wow! What a team! Art, music, HVAC work, banners… I think it is harder for the model to make a refrigerator look glamorous than a Ferrari, but Miki is doing an exceptional job.
And not all men are interested in fancy cars – I must admit I went through a short phase when I was 18 with a Ford Mustang 351, but since then it’s been Toyotas and Volkswagens for me!
I bet Kevin is capable of lifting the fridge AND MIKI in one single move!
Good luck with your show, miki!
Thanks everybody!
You have no idea how difficult it is for em to get photographed, I simply don’t like it. But Kevin has found the magic words now. He just needs to say:
“It is for Cafe Crem!”
and here I am, taking a girlie pose for you all (means trying to look civilised
)
The show has been great eventually, it was a fantastic start for me in this new town where we have moved, I am over the moon!
We have started demounting it yesterday evening, we will go on today and then start to mount my new gallery.
I fancy nice cars too, but not the Ferraris, I don’t find them really beautiful, and I miss a touch of humour in the design. We have a wonderful little car, the Smart Roadstar, we are both in love with it, it looks like a toy. I will post a photo of Kevin in it soon, it looks so funny!
