The Result is in!!!
god, we hated to do this! when the moment came to put all the names on pieces of paper, and I dutifully folded them and put them in a bowl, it was AWFUL knowing we had to abide by the first out of the hat, so to speak. Miki and I thank you all for your participation, and, despite Michael submitting an enormous amount of entries, and a late showing from other contributors, The winner is:
SUSAN!
Miki is worried that you’ll all think because she’s her friend that she rigged the draw, but I can confirm I wouldn’t even let her look into the bowl as she picked the winner!
We just want thank you all so much for joining in the fun, and bravo Susan for winning the goodies with your wonderful entries.
Your prize will be sent in the first week of january!
Kev and Miki

Bravo Susan, and really sorry for everybody else! I wished I could send EACH OF YOU a big price, because I deeply enjoyed your participation!
Congratulations, Susan! I’m sure you’ll enjoy your prize!
I’m sure it must have been difficult to choose from all the lovely entries and drawing from the bowl is the best way to do it!
Merry Christmas!
Bonny
Congratulations, Susan!
Miki and Kevin, what is the prize? We’d love to know.
Best regards,
Madame Monet
Ho Ho Ho somebody is going to get a great treat. Merry Christmas and congratulations Susan!
Kind Regards,
Michael
Merry Christmas Bonny, Madame Monet and Michael! I wish you a wonderful day!
The Prize, Madame Monet, is a big box full of Christmas chocs, sweeties, and of course, a beautiful Christmas Coffee Cup!
Congratulations, Susan! You deserved the prize anyway…
I can’t wait for you to tell us all about your prize when you get it, Susan! Congratulations
And Merry Christmas, everyone!
Anybody know if Susan won? If not wait till she come here and sees all of us so happy for her.
Do you know what, Michael? For the first tiem since we met in WordPress (it was not long before I created Cafe Crem), I spoke to Susan on the phone today, she called me! It was a great emotion, for all of us (Kevin spoke with her too…). I told her that she won the CCCC, she couldn’t believe it, and giggled, I guess she was happy! I don’t know if she will have time to come to Cafe Crem, I wish she will because I would love her to post her photo, she has a lot of things to do, with her beautiful family!
She sent me a photo of her with a Santa Hat, it is so nice!
Congratulations Susan!!!
Well I have been away form the computer since yesterday morning and just signed on. What an extraordinary astounding felling to see everyone get social.
The stories and the comments and the well wishing and all made me realize people just need to know that they are loved and admired for who they are.
When that happens in a community anything can happen. And most likely the anything will turn out to be a mutual exchange and bonding that is very rare to find on the Net in large social networks. I see here that it {has happened} and we are all better for having participated.
You are so right, Michael! And really, it was a great idea with this meeting of faces…
however modern and loosen from earthy things, we are still human and we all have the same basic needs, most of them dictated by our senses. We simply need “to see” the persons we are speaking too. Before, it’s “only” words…
As I told you in another thread, yesterday I spoke for the first time to Susan (on the phone). It was another sense being satisfied, and a a new big step towards our “real” friendship!
That telephone call between all of you Miki must have been such a wonderful experience as you say {another sense being satisfied}.
Beautifully said.
It was an extraordinary moment yesterday. I , probably like all of you, thought we’d be away from the net on Christmas day, but I guess we all, one by one, checked in, and firstly, found Michael’s brave entry. And it was brave. It was like standing on stage for the first time and saying “this is me”. It opened the floodgates, and proved that we all needed this somehow. And you know, its very simple when it comes down to it. It was Christmas, and at Christmas you want to be with your friends.
If we go on like that, Cafe Crem will soon drown in a deluge of tears!
Oh yes Kev so well said and yes Miki deeply i presume.
